Tagua Pebble Earrings

Price: $12.00

Item # 1202

Tagua aka Vegetable Ivory
Long before tagua was used for jewelry, it was made into buttons. Your Victorian grandmother may have had a row of tagua buttons down the front of her dress. Her friends may have assumed they were ivory. Tagua so resembles ivory, that there would be no need to explain that the buttons were actually vegetable ivory. Now, it seems that, tagua decreases the number of elephants slaughtered for their ivory tusks.
Pebble Earrings
  • 2 strands of threaded tagua "pebbles"
  • Drop is 2 ¼ inches
  • Sterling silver loops

I never look at the masses as my responsibility; I look at the individual. I can only love one person at a time - just one, one, one. So you begin. I began - I picked up one person. Maybe if I didn't pick up that one person, I wouldn't have picked up forty-two thousand....The same thing goes for you, the same thing in your family, the same thing in your church, your community. Just begin - one, one, one.
